An Interview with Dr. Rahi -

Dr. Rahi's Beverly Hills clinic has physically and emotionally changed the lives of her patients. She is a prominent and well-respected figure in Aesthetics, Integrative, and Anti-Aging Medicine in Beverly Hills and Greater Los Angeles. She is an innovator whose mission is to build and perfect solutions that provide both Cosmetic Rejuvenation and Inner Health.

1. Tell us about your specialty. What inspired you to pursue medicine? How did you land in Integrative Aesthetics?

I always dreamed of becoming a physician because I wanted to make a meaningful impact on people's lives through health and wellness. After achieving my goal of becoming a doctor, I realized that I was drawn more to promoting health and wellness rather than focusing solely on sick care medicine. I felt that the traditional medical system didn't fully align with my values and aspirations.

It took time for me to navigate the medical system and discover where I fit best. I wanted to bring happiness, health, and wellness to those around me, and each day is an opportunity for me to grow as a doctor and as a healthier version of myself.

I am proud to say I have created an integrative wellness center where I could blend my passion for health and beauty from the inside out. While we're just getting started, my vision is to expand this concept of holistic wellness and beauty to reach a broader audience around the world.

2. How important is lymphatic health/care in your day-to-day medical practice?

Lymphatic health and care are essential aspects of my day-to-day medical practice. Lymphatic drainage plays a crucial role in overall health, and there are numerous effective methods to promote it.

I prioritize promoting a healthy lifestyle, which includes regular exercise, massage therapy, and specific procedures aimed at encouraging lymphatic drainage to remove built-up toxins in the body. My daily focus is on educating myself and my patients about the optimal ways to live a healthy and functional life, ensuring that our bodies operate at their utmost capacity.

3. We often hear from the medical community that lymphatic health is not covered in detail in med school, what was your experience?

In my experience, lymphatic health was definitely not emphasized as much as it should have been. Learning to support lymphatic circulation on a daily basis is crucial for disease prevention.

The traditional Western medical system has historically focused on disease management. However, over the past decade, I've observed a positive shift towards integrative health and wellness.

4. How do you incorporate compression and massage into your practice for your patients?

I often refer patients to lymphatic drainage specialists, and we also offer facials and Forma treatments that can effectively aid in lymphatic drainage for the face and neck. Furthermore, we have an EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) machine that can assist with lymphatic drainage. However, the most crucial aspect I encourage for my patients is daily movement.

5. What has your experience been wearing Elastique? What benefits have you felt?

I absolutely love wearing Elastique for my workouts, especially their pants. They add a whole new level of significance to my workouts, allowing my body to maximize its potential with every movement. I truly believe the brand has been thoughtfully designed to optimize workout performance for anyone who wears their products.

6. What are your self-care non-negotiables or favorite self-care practices?

These days, my go-to fitness routine is Pilates—it's my absolute favorite. But when I'm on the go, I always turn to yoga because you can do it anywhere and anytime without needing any equipment.

In terms of self-care, I'm all about regular cupping for detoxifying my body, Pilates sessions, and incorporating daily movement like jump rope, HIIT, walking, and dancing into my routine. Plus, I treat myself to regular massages—I aim for one every two weeks, but definitely at least once a month.

7. Summer is around the corner — what are three tips you’d share with our community to get looking + feeling our best before summer is here?

  1. Stay Active: Start moving your body regularly. Incorporate exercises you enjoy, whether it's walking, dancing, or trying a new workout class. Physical activity boosts energy levels and promotes overall well-being.
  2. Embrace Supplements: Develop a healthy supplement plan in consultation with your integrative doctor. Supplements can support your health goals, filling in any nutritional gaps and enhancing your vitality.
  3. Prioritize Skincare: Invest in a top-notch skincare routine - I have a few skincare brands that I work with consistently and this has elevated my skincare experience to another level. Consistent skincare practices can enhance your complexion and boost confidence. Remember, great skincare is a key component of maintaining healthy skin, which is the largest organ in our bodies!
